How the bucket bag got here

  1. 1800sThe feed bagA round-bottomed sack with a drawstring is the oldest way to carry loose things: grain, tools, laundry.
  2. 1930sThe bucket for the cityLeather versions with a shoulder strap arrive, made to carry more than a clutch without looking like luggage.
  3. 2010sThe circleThe round body on a long strap, worn across the body, becomes its own small shape.
